Grandma and Grandpa Jahnke are Here!

Since late Thursday, Grandma & Grandpa Jahnke have been here helping out

and visiting with AnnDee. Greg and I have been able to go out to eat

and have some time to relax a bit. It's been great!

As AnnDee is awake and alert more now during her 5th week,

she is also wanting more attention!

We have found that she absolutely loves being carried in the BabyBjorn

and we love having her in the BabyBjorn because we get our hands back!

Not feeling well...

Since last Saturday, a yucky virus has been floating through out household :( Greg has had a fever off and on, AnnDee is congested and I have had a sore throat. Needless to say, we all went to the doctor (together!) on Monday afternoon. Slowly we are getting over this stuff, but yuck! The combo of not feeling well and interrupted sleep has taken it's toll.

A Little Nature Hike- Oct.15th, 2010

This evening we decided to go for a walk outdoors at a local Bird Haven. With the lovely Texas-Sized Mosquitoes, we did a lot of swatting, however the temperature was perfect and we were the only family there! Very quiet and peaceful.....except for the large, loud bird that scared the crap out of Greg! It took awhile for his pulse to come down to normal. Haha....Enjoy the pics!

Some Firsts! (Oct.11th)

AnnDee had  big day Monday, filled with some Firsts! We ventured down to Galveston to visit Mommy's work (1st first) and then had dinner with some coworkers! AnnDee did great while visiting and got a little restless at the restaurant. Nothing we couldn't handle :) She did not, however enjoy the 30 minute ride home, as she let me know that Loud & Clear :(
None the less, AnnDee and I got home, visited with Daddy and his friend Logan, then it was Tummy Time! She loves it! All 3 of us rolled around on the floor for awhile and shortly later, a diaper change was needed. We realized that we were out of newborn diapers, so we wrapped her up tight in a Stage 1 (2nd first!) After a good feeding, AnnDee drifted to sleep about 11:30pm (her usual bedtime).
Greg and I were gently awoken this morning to some baby ohhs and ahhs, and we looked over at the clock. IT WAS 6:59am!!!! AnnDee slept from 11:30-7am!! (3rd and most refreshing first!) How awesome, even though Greg and I are well aware that this was most definitely a fluke! But hey, we will take what we can get :)

September 19th-30th, 2010 The Fun Begins ;)

September 16, 2010 @ Christus St. John's Hospital



 We arrived at the Hospital about 1:15pm. The nurse had us walk around the unit for a few hours to help labor progress. Oh boy, did it!



Along came AnnDee at 9:37pm. She wighed 8lbs 7oz and measured
20 inches long. Girl has some Big Feet, too!
