The Bayou Wildlife Park

On Sunday, We had 2 birthdays to celebrate with friends.
One of the parties took place at the Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin, TX.
We were up close and personal with animals in the petting zoo,
exchanged pleasantries with ducks and deer while they sniffed out our lunch,
and took a 50 minute safari ride around the park, which enabled us to feed the animals.
He had a blast!

At home, AnnDee runs around the house yelling "NO, NO! Kitty Cat!"
and laughs when they scurry on their way.
Needless to say, these Billy Goats were not the least bit worried.

Well, Hello there!

Here! Just TAKE the food!
((These guys are the reason Greg sat
in the middle of the tram ride)).

His color pattern was Beautiful.

And Zeus here decided to come stick his head inside our tram car.
I wasn't able to get a close up because we had to make sure his
7 foot horns did not take some one's head off :-)

On our way out of the park, Greg stopped and asked me why I thought
the 5000lb Rhino wasn't allowed to come closer to the trail...
...as if nearly loosing our heads to the Longhorn wasn't enough of a thrill!

The party was full of surprises and
we'd love to take our family and friends to the park
when they come down for a visit!

A Beautiful Beginning to April

Last Monday I made a last minute decision to take our dinner
and go picnic at the park.
AnnDee could not wait to get out the door!
She has turned into a great little helper :-)

Thursday the kids had an Easter Egg hunt at School.
AnnDee did not loose sight of her basket!!

Easter Morning.

Silly Daddy!

Now that's more like it!!

I made a carrot cake from scratch.
Great flavor, but it turned out so dense
that Greg said we could use it to wash the dishes instead of a sponge....
(he has eaten some everyday, however)

The Texas Bluebonnets

Every March, random fields around our house
fill up with these beautiful, vibrant flowers.

The Texas Bluebonnets!
What better way to get annual family photos.

I could not have asked for better smiles!

This last one is my Favorite!
